After months of anticipation, the construction of the Huổi Châng Cultural House has finally been completed. Even the March rain couldn’t dampen the excitement, mixed with a hint of curiosity, of the people around Ẳng Tở Commune, Mường Ảng District, Điện Biên Province, who attended the Handover Ceremony. Despite being named after the village, all the residents from the surrounding villages of Ẳng Tở came together to celebrate with Huổi Châng Village.

Huổi Châng Village, located in Ẳng Tở Commune, Mường Ảng District, Điện Biên Province, consists of 30 households and 184 inhabitants, all belonging to the Hmong ethnic group. The villagers face many difficulties in their daily lives, primarily relying on agricultural production, with limited access to cultural activities and entertainment. The road to Huổi Châng Village is still underdeveloped, making it extremely challenging for construction materials to be transported to build the cultural house, requiring the construction unit to navigate through slippery and difficult terrain.

The house spans 87 square meters, along with auxiliary facilities, with a total value of nearly 600 million Vietnamese dong, contributed by member factories of the Vietnam Roofing Sheet Association in collaboration with the Vietnam Heart Fund – Vietnam Television Foundation, and was handed over to the Huổi Châng village authorities on the morning of March 22nd. Due to the nature of the structure as a cultural hub for the villagers, the Association also sponsored an additional 260 square meters of courtyard with a 1.2-meter-high fence, providing space for gatherings during festivals.

All materials used for the construction are innovative applications of fiber cement, including wall panels, facade cladding panels, flooring panels, colored roofing sheets, produced by member factories of the Vietnam Roofing Sheet Association. The Huổi Châng Village Cultural House boasts both the high durability of fiber cement materials and the aesthetic appeal of modern designs. The facility enables the residents of Huổi Châng Village to have a dignified venue for organizing meetings and community cultural activities. Huổi Châng becomes the first village out of the 14 villages in Ẳng Tở Commune to have a village cultural house. The Vietnam Roofing Sheet Association believes that the cheerful faces of the villagers around Ẳng Tở Commune that we see today will endure just like this structure.
