Can Tho, as well as the Mekong River Delta region, tends to prefer AC roof sheet due to affordable price, durability, sound and heat insulation, anti-termite ability and ease of transport and installation. Despite the competitiveness of price compared to that of other substitutes, many families still find it difficult to construct a new house. Therefore, the VNRA decided to conduct a house-giving project in order to support the poor in localities.

In the last days of November, the VNRA, in collaboration with the Vietnamese Heart Fund – Vietnam Television and local authority of Thot Not district – Can Tho city held a ceremony to hand over 02 houses for families under preferential treatment policy at Thanh Hoa and Tan Loc ward. Each house has an area of 55 sqm with a kitchen and a self-contained toilet. They are constructed with columns, trusses, steal beams, wall panels with ability to resist sound and heat, colored AC roof sheet. Especially, wall panels and colored fibre cement roofing sheets are new products of VNRA members. The 02 house completely meet criteria on rural housing of the Ministry of Construction with solid foundation, walls and roof.

In addition to the budget of over 200 million VND per work, the VNRA also provided other necessities like 01 altar, 01 set of wooden table and chairs, and 01 bed. These are gifts, as well as empathy of VNRA members and the Vietnamese Heart Fund. This eventually expresses the kindness, traditional spirit of Vietnamese.
